I’m a big fan of the area north of H Street, bordered by Union Station to the West, Benning Road area to the East and all the way up into Trinidad.  While it’s still competitive in terms of multiple offers on most houses, you generally get more bang f0r your buck than you would south of H street.  But you’re not giving up any of the perks of living in a vibrant urban area. 

That section of K St, NE is looking particularly nice these days, with a good mix of longtime residents and brand new renovations.   This Sunday, 645 K St NE will be open from 1 – 3.   I have not seen this particular property but I know the block and, priced at $737k, it checks all the boxes:   4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 1 half bath.  Deep front and private back yards  with 2-car Garage.  Open living & dining area with granite kitchen;  In Law Suite or Entertainment Area w/ Kitchenette.  Nice sized front porch … it’s definitely worth a look.
